Middle East – Holiday for the Adha Festival

This is to announce that the Patent and Trademark Office in Middle Eastern countries and Gulf counties will be closed for the Eid Al-Adha festival from 26 September to 11 October 2014.

Any deadlines that fall during this period would be shifted to the next business day.

Working Hours – Our Working Hours During the Month of Ramadan

Ramadan starts on 29 June 2014 and ends on 27 July 2014, which will be followed by the Eid Holiday until 4 August 2014.

Please note that our office hours during the month of Ramadan will be from 09:00hrs until 15:00hrs. The Trademark Office in all jurisdictions will be open from 10:00hrs to 14:00hrs during this time.

Notice of Mid-Autumn Festival Holiday in China

China – NJQ, this is to advise our clients that our China office as well as the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and The Chinese Trademark Office will be closed from 10 September 2011 to 12 September 2011 due to the Mid-Autumn Festival in China.

Business will be resumed to its usual function on 13 September 2011.

Our office will be partially operating during the holiday, should you have any urgent case or have any deadlines falling between these dates, please provide us with your instructions and documents by 8 September 2011 (Beijing time).

Please note that the official vacation in the Middle Eastern counties marking the end of the fastening month of Ramdan, usually known as Eid AL-Fiter, expected to start as per to the following:

Due to the coming Eftar Eid (Islamic holiday) please note the PTMOs will be closed according to the following dates:

Bahrain: the holiday will be from 20 to 22 September 2009.

India: the holiday will be from 26 to 28 September 2009.

Indonesia: the holiday will be from 18 to 23 September 2009.

Kuwait: the holiday will be from 20 to 24 September 2009.

Libya: the holiday will be from 21 to 26 September 2009.

Morocco: the holiday will be from 20 to 22 September 2009.

Oman: the holiday will be from 19 to 26 September 2009.

Saudi Arabia: the holiday will be from 15 to 25 September 2009.

Syria: the holiday will be from 17 to 27 September 2009.

Tunisia: please note that the Trademark and Patent office will be closed from 21st September 2009 and will get back to work on Tuesday 22nd September.

West Bank: the holiday will be from 20 to 24 September 2009.

If you have new filing with priority which falls during the above holidays, please send your instructions before the close of the Offices.

Any deadline, for notices issued by PTMOs, which falls during the holiday will be due on the first working day after the feast.

United Arab Emirates (UAE) – Changing of Weekend Holiday
