This will be considered as the first trademark application received by the Libyan Trademark Office since January 2011 when the unrest started.

We would like to draw our clients’ attention that our head office will be glad to receive your instructions and act immediately.

There will be some updates regarding the Power of Attorney, which we will inform you shortly.

The first certificate of registration has been issued on 25 May 2010.

The trademark Office has not indicated yet when they will be commencing issuance of all other pending certificates, but it is expected to be resumed shortly.

It is worth mentioning that all trademarks which have been accepted and published in the Official Gazette are considered to be registered trademarks if there was no opposition filed.

NJQ & Associates will take this opportunity to inform all its clients that we shall spare no efforts to follow up all accepted trademark applications whose certificate of registration are due for issuance.

  1. Legalized power of attorney up to the Libyan Consulate. (current).
  2. Legalized extract of the commercial register or certificate of incorporation. (current)
  3. Certified copy of Home Registration Certificate, in case there is no home certificate, an alternative documents may be offered to the Registrar and he will decide case by case. (new requirement)
