Oman joined other Arab countries which are applying 9th edition of Nice Classification like Algeria, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Syria.

The main updates entered into 9th Edition of Nice classification can be summarized as follows:

  1. “Legal services” in class 42 transferred to class 45.
  2. The word “frozen” added to class heading 29.
  3. The item “not of precious or coated therewith in class heading 21” has been removed.
