Filing Requirements
- Name, address, and nationality of the applicant.
- Designated goods and services.
- Certified copy of the basic application to be supplied within 6 months from filing.
- Ten prints of the mark (8cm x 8cm).
Renewal Requirements
- No documents are required.
Assignment Requirements
- Power of attorneys signed by both the assignor and the assignee.
- Original deed of assignment document. Notarisation is no required.
- Before filing the assignment, a report must be submitted by the agent to the Japanese Patent Office, indicating that the client wishes to appoint that agent as their lawful attorney.
- Name and address of the assignor.
- Name and address of the assignee.
- List of registered trademarks and their registration numbers.
Merger Requirements
- Power of attorneys signed by both parties.
- Original deed of merger document. Notarisation is not required.
Recordal of Change
- Certified copy of certificate of change.
- List of concerned trademarks.
License Requirements
- License agreement.
