Filing Requirements
  • Power of attorney legalised by the Consulate of Mauritius, if no Consulate is available, then by a British Consulate or attested by an apostille.

Notes
  • Late filing of documents: within 2 months without penalty.

Registration with Customs Duty
  • Power of attorney legalised by the Consulate of Mauritius, if no Consulate is available, then by a British Consulate or attested by an apostille.
  • Certified copy of the registration certificate of the subject mark in Mauritius.

  • Late filing of documents: not allowed.

Renewal Requirements

Notes
No documents are required to file renewal applications, but the Registrar may ask for a power of attorney.

Assignment Requirements
  • Deed of assignment document signed by the assignor and assignee, notarised and certified by apostille.

Notes
  • Late filing of documents: not allowed.

Some considerations must be stated; nominal consideration is acceptable.

Assignments may be made with or without goodwill.

Merger Requirements
