Filing Requirements
- Power of attorney duly legalised by the Iraqi Consulate. In the case of filing in Iraq and Northern Iraq, one power will suffice.
- Foreign or home registration certificate legalised by Iraqi Consulate. Suppose the applicant does not hold a registration or intending to file several trademarks simultaneously, it is possible to submit an affidavit/declaration enlisting all the desired trademarks; said affidavit has to be legalised by the Iraqi Consulate. This routing will reduce legalisation costs.
- Legalised copy of the priority document if claimed.

Renewal Requirements

Applicants or their agents will submit the trademark renewal application with the payment of the renewal application and publication fees. The power of attorney and the copy of the registration certificate must accompany the application at the time of filing.
Then the Trademark Office will publish the renewal application before issuing the renewal certificate. After that, the applicant or its agent must submit a legalised certificate of origin with payment of the renewal issuance fees to issue the renewal certificate.
