By notification in the Official Gazette of India, the Central Government of India has amended the Trade Marks Rules, 2002. With the new amended Rules coming into force all the applicants are now allowed to file applications in International classes 43, 44 and 45.

As a background of this amendment, all the applications which were supposed to be filed in these classes were filed in class 42. Hence, after the amendment came into effect, the applicants who had earlier filed in class 42 are now gradually filing in respective classes namely 43 or 44 or 45.
