.BY is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Belarus. It is administered by The Operative-analytical center of the Republic of Belarus.
Russian being Belarus’ most commonly used language. It was officially used during their inclusion in the Soviet Union. The ccTLD was created for Belarus on 10 May 1994.
The registration of domain names is performed with the purpose of their further use for the addressing of the domain administrator resources in the Internet network.
Domain names can be of the first, second, third and subsequent levels. The domain name level is determined by the ordinal number of a word located on the left of the first level domain name “.by”, “.бел”.
