The United Kingdom has extended provisions of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 to the Cayman Islands. The Act is applied by the Copyright (Cayman Islands) Order 2015, which was passed by the UK Privy Council on March 19.

The Copyright Order revokes the application of the 1956 Act with respect to the Cayman Islands and replaces it with the extension of the U.K.’s 1988 Copyright Act.
