Patents

A patent may be granted only for an invention which satisfies the following conditions—

(a) the invention is new;

(b) it involves an inventive step; and

(c) it is capable of industrial application.

(2) An invention may be, or may relate to, a product or a process.

An invention shall be considered as involving an inventive step, if having regard to the prior art relevant to the application claiming the invention, it is not obvious to a person having ordinary skill in the art.
