8. Updating servers and activating the domain name
The domain name is activated when the (DNS) server is updated during a specific period of time, publishing is globally by the (DNS) systems.
9. WHOIS

The domain name belongs to its owner to the registrar who manages it or the owner registered by him/her. The owner is free to transfer the domain name form one registrar to another at any time.

The commission have discounts on the transferring process that is similar to the registration process for a new domain name, the fees are the same, hence this service is not used randomly by the owners, the domain name is renewed for one year in case of transferring and the renewing charges and discounted at the new registrar’s.
16. Registers outside Iraq
The registers outside Iraq would be granted 6 months to verify the required documents by the embassies and consulates outside Iraq, when the six months are passed, the domain name would be deleted with no legal or financial charges against the commission.
17. Steps for transferring the domain name to another registrar
– Choosing the registrar
You can communicate with any of the new registrars listed at the commission, you have to fill him/her with the required information just like registering a new domain name.
-Installing the DNS servers
The new registrar uses these information to install the DNS servers for your domain name, you have to make sure the information is correct and it is important that the entered information are for the owner not the registrar’s or the agent’s.
-Moving the Domain name
It is possible to move the domain name using one of these steps:
-To move a domain name, a moving request is required
The applicant would request directly by the commission automatic registration system, waiting for 3 days, if moving the domain name is not performed, the request would be canceled and the concerned parties would be informed.
-Execution of the moving operation
When the moving request is sent, the result would appear on the register’s account interface, a message would be sent to the owner and to his/her new registrar if his/her old registrar approves.
18. Updating the DNS servers
The domain name owner can review the change by updating the domain name servers.
19. Renewing the domain name
Renewing the domain name steps differs from one registrar to another, the domain names can be renewed automatically or manually, then the fees should be paid. It is important to communicate with the registrar and inform them of your desire to renew the domain name or not. If you didn’t wish to renew your domain name, the registrar would delete it directly or waits until the freezing state is over (60) days from the expiration date.
20. The renewable domain names for one year or two years.
If the WHOIS data states that the commission is your registrar, that means your previous registrar is no longer works for the commission. In this case your domain name could not be renewed.
