Industrial Design Filing Requirements
- Power of attorney legalised by the Jordanian Consulate.
- Three sets of specimens or representations of the design.
- The article(s) covered by the design and the material used in producing these items.
- Description of the design pointing out its novel aspects.
- Declaration of novelty and ownership legalised by the Jordan Consulate.
- Deed of assignment document if the designer is different from the applicant, legalised by the Jordanian Consulate.
- Certified copy of the priority document if claimed.
- Class(es) which the design is to be registered under.
- Details of the applicant.
- Extract from the commercial register legalised if the applicant is not a normal person.
Notes
- Late filing of documents: allowed within 2 months from filing date without penalty.
- Extension of time for late filing of documents: can be applied for an additional periods of 1 month each, with a penalty.
Annuity Requirements
Notes
There is no such annuity payment system since all fees including annuity fees are paid at the time of filing.
Industrial Design Assignment
- Power of attorney signed by the assignee, legalised by the Jordanian Consulate.
- Deed of assignment document legalised by the Jordanian Consulate.
