The Macedonian Academic Research Network (MARnet) administers .MK domain names for Macedonia. MARnet is a public institution that performs activities of public interest.

It was adopted and published on 20 September 2010 in the Official Gazette. Thus MARnet became a legal entity after its registration in the Central Register of the Republic of Macedonia.
