Procedure for obtaining a trademark can initiate domestic and foreign legal and natural person.

Foreign natural and legal persons enjoy equal rights as citizens of the Republic of Macedonia or legal persons established in the country, if it arises from the provisions of international agreements that are binding for the Republic of Macedonia, or the application of the principle of reciprocity.

As a foreign entity is a person based in another state , and foreign national is a person who has no citizenship of the Republic of Macedonia.

Domestic legal and natural persons alone can directly take all actions before the Office , regarding the protection of their rights, but their rights may be exercised through authorized persons.
