- You can claim priority according to Paris Convention within: 12 months from the first filing date.

- Period of protection of a patent: 20 years.
- Annuities: can be paid at any time or up to 6 months after the date of expiration. The first renewal fee is due within 1 year from the date of grant, as for Utility Innovations, the first renewal fees is due within 3 years from the date of grant. There are no back renewal fees payable on grant and paid renewal fee is non-refundable.
- Allowed time to submit the assignment deed from the date of signing the agreement: no time restrictions.
