Copyright protection shall cover all intellectual works of creative character in the literary or artistic field, regardless of their type, form of expression, merit or purpose, the nationality or residence of the author or owner of the rights concerned and the place of publication of the work.
The rights recognized by the Copyright Law shall be independent of the ownership of the material object in which the work is embodied and of the method of initial or subsequent fixation, and their enjoyment or exercise shall not be made subject to the requirement of registration or compliance with any other formality.
