The Qatari Ministry of Commerce and Industry, through the Intellectual Property Rights Protection Department (the Department), has officially announced the commencement of industrial design application filings Aa of October 2025. Previously the only option to protect a design was to publish a cautionary notice containing design details in a daily newspaper.
