The legal protection of the trade mark is provided on the basis of its registration in accordance with the procedure specified in the present Law as well as on the force of the relevant international agreements, to which the Republic of Uzbekistan is a party.

The trade mark may be registered on behalf of a legal or natural entity carrying out entrepreneurial activity.

The request for registration of the trade mark, name of commodity origin place and the right to use the name of commodity origin place is placed by a legal or natural entity.
