Registration with Customs Duty
- A specific form completed with accurate and detailed information about the subject trademark, its owner, and the geographical scope for monitoring (Italy or European Union if it concerns a Community trademark) should be filed (no time limit, but monitoring does not run retroactively) together with copy(ies) of the trademark(s) to be monitored and a power of attorney.

- Simple declaration executed by both the licensor and the licensee stating that the trademark has been licensed, said declaration must include full details of the trademark application(s) and/or registration(s) concerned.

In addition, before the recordal of the license is applied, the above declaration must be registered with the competent fiscal authorities (i.e. the Italian Registry Office).
