- Period of protection of a design: 5 years.
- Annuities: the protection period of an industrial design in Italy is 5 years, and can be renewed for four consecutive periods of 5 years each. Annuity payment must be made in advance no later than the last day of anniversary month of the filing date. A grace period of 6 months is granted for the late payment with penalty fees.
- Allowed time to submit the assignment deed from the date of signing the agreement: no time restrictions.
