Industrial Design Filing Requirements
- Power of attorney notarised.
- Drawings and photographs of the industrial design.
- Indication of the products on which the design is intended to be applied or incorporated.
- Brief description in Portuguese language of the elements appearing in the representations or the sample of the submitted design, excluding references to the possible novelty, the distinct character, or the technical value of the design.
- Certified copy of the priority document if claimed, with verified Portuguese translation.
- Deed of assignment document.
Notes
- Late filing of documents: not allowed.
The power of attorney and the deed of assignment can be filed within one (1) month. However priority documents must be filed within three (3) months from the date of application.
Annuity Requirements
- No documents are required.
Industrial Design Assignment
- Power of attorney notarised.
- Deed of assignment document notarised or any other equivalent documents notarised, with verified Portuguese translation.
