An invention is any human creation hat makes it possible to transform the matter or energy that exists in nature, for its utilization, through the immediate satisfaction of a concrete need. An invention shall be the product of a procedure.

A patent is understood as the special right that the State grants, in relation to acts of exploitation of an invention.

It is considered that an invention is susceptible of industrial application when it can be produced or used in any kind of industry, for these purposes, the expression industry will be understood in its widest sense and will include, among others, craftsmanship, agriculture, mining, fishing and services.
