Patent Filing Requirements
  • Power of attorney, simply signed.
  • Specification, claims, formal drawings, and abstract.
  • Deed of assignment document simply signed, if the applicant is not the inventor.
  • Certified copy of the priority document if claimed.

Notes
  • Late filing of documents: not allowed.

A photocopy of the power of attorney is needed for filing; the original can follow within 1 month.

Annuity Requirements
  • No documents are required.

Patent Search
  • No documents are required.

Patent Assignment
  • Power of attorney signed by the assignee, simply signed.
  • Deed of assignment document signed by the assignor and assignee, simply signed.

  • Late filing of documents: not allowed.

Patent Merger
  • Power of attorney, simply signed.
  • Merger agreement document signed by both parties, simply signed.

Notes
  • Late filing of documents: not allowed.

Patent Recordal of Change
  • Power of attorney reflecting the change, simply signed.
  • Certificate of incorporation or extract from the commercial register reflecting the change.

  • Late filing of documents: not allowed.

Patent License
  • Power of attorney signed by the licensee, notarised.
  • License agreement document signed by both parties, simply signed.
