Patents - Filing Requirements


Patent Filing Requirements
  • Power of attorney legalised by the Palestinian Consulate, if a Palestinian Consulate is not available, then legalisation by the Jordanian Consulate will suffice.
  • Three copies of specifications, claims, and drawings in English and Arabic languages.
  • Certified copy of the home letters patent.
  • Patent Form 1 legalised by the Palestinian Consulate.

Notes
  • Late filing of documents: allowed within 30 days from filing date.

Annuity Requirements
  • No documents are required.

Patent Search
  • No documents are required.

Patent Assignment
  • Power of attorney legalised by the Palestinian Consulate, if a Palestinian Consulate is not available, then legalisation by the Jordanian Consulate will suffice.
  • Deed of assignment document signed by the assignor and assignee, legalised by the Palestinian Consulate, if a Palestinian Consulate is not available, then legalisation by the Jordanian Consulate will suffice.

Patent Merger
  • Power of attorney legalised by the Palestinian Consulate, if a Palestinian Consulate is not available, then legalisation by the Jordanian Consulate will suffice.
  • Merger agreement document signed by both parties, legalised by the Palestinian Consulate, if a Palestinian Consulate is not available, then legalisation by the Jordanian Consulate will suffice.

Patent Recordal of Change
  • Power of attorney legalised by the Palestinian Consulate, if a Palestinian Consulate is not available, then legalisation by the Jordanian Consulate will suffice.
  • Certificate of incorporation or extract from the commercial register reflecting the change, legalised by the Palestinian Consulate, if a Palestinian Consulate is not available, then legalisation by the Jordanian Consulate will suffice.

Patent License
