Industrial Designs - Filing Requirements


Industrial Design Filing Requirements
  • Power of attorney simply signed.
  • Deed of assignment document if the applicant is not the inventor.
  • Certified copy of the priority document if claimed.
  • A triplicate clear representation of the design on A4 sized paper. Perspective drawings as well as photographs may be used. The representations must be suitable for reproduction in black and white print and should be sizable.
  • A novelty declaration signed by the applicant to the effect that, to his knowledge, the design was not known prior to the filing date or to the date which shall be regarded as the filing date (in case of priority) in such a manner, as according to the law, will prevent registration.

Annuity Requirements
  • No documents are required.

Industrial Design Search
  • No documents are required.

Industrial Design Assignment
  • Power of attorney signed by the assignee.
  • Deed of assignment document signed by the assignor and assignee.

Industrial Design Merger
  • Power of attorney simply signed.
  • Merger agreement document.

Notes

Industrial Design Recordal of Change
  • Power of attorney reflecting the new name or address simply signed.
  • Certified copy of the certificate of incorporation or the extract from the commercial register reflecting the change.

Industrial Design License
  • Power of attorney signed by the licensee.
  • License agreement document signed by both parties.
