Filing Requirements
  • Power of attorney legalised by the Venezuelan Consulate, or apostilled.
  • Certified copy of the priority document if claimed.

Registration with Customs Duty

Notes
In Venezuela, trademarks cannot be registered at Borders. The Border personnel cannot act on solely. The Border can only act by request from the Intellectual Property Office or by court order and only if there is a presence of counterfeit.

The applicant of this request must have a registered trademark.

Renewal Requirements
  • Power of attorney legalised by the Venezuelan Consulate, or apostilled.
  • Photocopy of the registration certificate.

Search Requirements
  • No documents are required.

Assignment Requirements
  • Power of attorney legalised by the Venezuelan Consulate, or apostilled.
  • Deed of assignment document signed by the assignor and assignee, legalised by the Venezuelan Consulate or apostilled.

Merger Requirements
  • Power of attorney legalised by the Venezuelan Consulate, or apostilled.
  • Merger agreement document signed by both parties, legalised by the Venezuelan Consulate or apostilled.

  • Power of attorney reflecting the new name or address, legalised by the Venezuelan Consulate or apostilled.
  • Certificate of incorporation or extract from the commercial register reflecting the change, legalised by the Venezuelan Consulate or apostilled.
