An invention shall be considered to be new if it is not a separate part of the state of the art.

The state of the art includes any kind of information on the given field of technical solutions (separate parts) made available all over the world by means of oral or written disclosure, or in any other way, before the priority date of the invention. The data in the source of information, contents of which is available for any person directly, or is notified legally shall be deemed as made available to the public, the solutions made available through open use shall be included in the state of the art, if such a use has been realized in the Republic of Armenia.
