Industrial Design Filing Requirements
- Power of attorney legalised by the Egyptian Consulate.
- Certified copy of the extract from the commercial register or certificate of incorporation legalised by the Egyptian Consulate.
- Four copies of the drawing of the design.
- Summary description of the design.
- Certified copy of the priority document if claimed.
Notes
- Late filing of documents: not allowed.
There is a substantive examination of the design for novelty, with a six months grace period of earlier disclosure.
Annuity Requirements
- No documents are required.
Industrial Design Assignment
- Power of attorney signed and sealed by the assignee, legalised by the Egyptian Consulate.
- Deed of assignment document signed by both parties, legalised by the Egyptian Consulate.
- Certified copy of the extract from the commercial register or certificate of incorporation legalised by the Egyptian Consulate.

Industrial Design Merger
- Power of attorney signed and sealed by both parties, legalised by the Egyptian Consulate.
- Merger agreement document legalised by the Egyptian Consulate.
- Certified copy of the extract from the commercial register or certificate of incorporation legalised by the Egyptian Consulate.

Industrial Design Recordal of Change
- Power of attorney legalised by the Egyptian Consulate.
- Certificate of change of name legalised by the Egyptian Consulate.
- Certified copy of the certificate of change of address.

Industrial Design License
- Power of attorney signed and sealed, legalised by the Egyptian Consulate for each party.
- License agreement document legalised by the Egyptian Consulate.
- Certified copy of the extract from the commercial register or certificate of incorporation of the licensee legalised by the Egyptian Consulate.
- Recordal of the registered user or license agreement document after registration certificate is issued.
- Nominal amount of US$10 is required.
