- You can claim priority according to Paris Convention within: 12 months from the first filing date.
- Member of: PCT, Paris Convention.
- Period of protection of a patent: 20 years.
- Annuities: after the grant of patent, every patentee has to maintain the patent by paying renewal fee every year. For first two years, there is no renewal fee. The renewal fee is payable from 3rd year onwards. In case the renewal fee is not paid the patent will be ceased.
- Allowed time to submit the assignment deed from the date of signing the agreement: within 6 months of its execution.
