According to the Mozambican industrial property law, all procedures related to the industrial property rights undertaken before The Industrial Property Institute (IPI), must be done personally by the applicant or by a proxy with qualification of patent and trademark agent.

The registration can be done by the owner of the right, its representative, or by a proxy that must be an official patent and trademark agent (recognized by the IPI).
