If the application is faulty or deficient in any way, Norwegian Industrial Property Office (NIPO) will write to you, or your professional representative, and request that these faults be remedied within a given time limit. If the fault is not rectified before the deadline, the application will be abandoned.

Once the application has been abandoned, processing can recommence if you correct the original fault and pay a resumption fee.
