The works of a copyrighted material shall be protected by the sole fact of their creation and irrespective of their mode or form of expression, as well as of their content, quality and purpose.

The protection of any work shall be without prejudice to any protection of a preexisting work incorporated in, or utilized for, the making of such a work.
