The Trademark Office in Iraq has published on 7 June 2010 a declaration in connection with the missing trademarks’ files that were damaged during the war.
The declaration included a schedule of the first group of the missing trademark files, namely the files of the trademarks Nos. (1 -16090).
Accordingly, owners of the mentioned trademarks are requested to provide the Trademark Office with documents proving that they are the legitimate owners of the same in order to preserve the legal protection of the said trademarks in Iraq.
The mentioned declaration also stated that the requested documents should be submitted to the Trademark Office within six months from the date of the publication of the same; otherwise, the registration of the said trademarks shall be considered cancelled.
