Malaysia – New Requirement in Respect of Power of Attorneys to be Issued by Malaysian Applicant for the Use Abroad and Needs Legalization.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Malaysia has recently stipulated a requirement that all Power of Attorneys which are in dual language must first be endorsed by the Malaysian Institute of Translations on the accuracy of the English version appearing next to the foreign language on the POA before it can be authenticated and legalized by them. This new procedure usually takes extra effort and cost by client.
In this content, and in order to save time and money, clients from Malaysia who are instructing us to work for them in Arab countries may use power forms with English langue only, to avoid endorsed by the Malaysian Institute of Translations.
