RIYADH – The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) has announced that it is possible to protect architectural works via copyright. The protection of blueprints of architectural structures, models, and drawings are covered.
The work may not contain bad local connotation and must not be among the works excluded from protection mentioned in Article (4) of the Copyright Law. SAIP will not accept drafts and prototypes, and the work must be in its final form.
