MANAMA – The Bahrain Trademark Office, under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, has announced the adoption of the 13th Edition of the International Classification of Goods and Services (Nice Classification), effective 1 October 2026.
The announcement confirms Bahrain’s transition to the latest edition of the Nice Classification, which is used to classify goods and services for trademark registration purposes. The updated classification introduces revisions to the descriptions and classification of certain goods and services.
Trademark owners planning new filings in Bahrain are advised to review their goods and services specifications to avoid potential classification delays during examination.
